The Outback Chair Company is based in San Diego, CA. They have some very unique products for outdoor, as well as, indoor living. They feature a line of hammocks, including a Charleston rope hammock made of 100% cotton, a quilted hammock, and a polycord rope hammock, for an extended hammock life.

They also carry a Charleston rope hammock chair in 100% cotton, that is so comfortable. Of course, there are chair stands and hammock stands to accompany their products! Then there is the very unique Urban Balance Collection made of epoxy-coated aluminum wrapped frames covered in all-weather resistant resin wicker. These are very unusual and upscale designs that you won’t see in every household. Fun and original!

Camping Trip

Camping trips are a family favorite. So many people love to be close to the outdoors and feel it is a great way to spend quality time with their children. It’s a hustle-bustle world we live in, and so hi-tech with video games, iPods, iPads, cell phones, and the list goes on and on.

Sometimes it is nice to just get away from it all and get closer to nature. One way to enjoy this activity is to take a folding hammock along. This gives you your very own bed! No sharing a tent with someone who snores! But the best part, and it’s better than any music on your iPod, is the night music of the crickets, katydids, and the owls!

A Cool Cotton Hammock

Many people will swear by a cotton hammock. They love the softness and breath-ability it provides, cool in the summer heat. Some examples of a cotton hammock are a Mayan hammock or a Mexican hammock. Even a Brazilian hammock is made of a cotton canvas, usually.

Although cotton is strong, if left outside in the elements on a regular basis, it may deteriorate more quickly than a polyester variety. The colors may fade more quickly also. The proper care for a cotton hammock is to take the extra minute to bring it in and hang it on a hook inside your garage, mudroom, or even your guest closet. This habit alone will give you many years of pleasure!

Superbowl Night

Superbowl night in our house is a small, family party! We make fun things to eat, football shaped desserts, and get football shaped snacks! Then we build a fire in the fireplace.

We then all get comfortable in our favorite chair or favorite spot on the couch! This year we all have our own team blankets which are also hammock accessories. We all like a different team, and of course, only two teams make it to the Superbowl, but we are still proud to cozy up in our team spirit throws to settle in for a fun evening!

Travel Hammocks

Travel hammocks are hammocks that are easy to take along on outdoor trips. They tend to be lightweight and small. Many come in their own bag or pouch for storage. This is convenient for backpackers or bicyclers who carry all all of their gear with them.

Some are made of silk, and so lightweight, yet strong enough to hold 500 lbs! Two people could sleep in this one! However, you probably would want your own for actual sleeping, and with the cost being fairly inexpensive, you can do just that! Say goodbye to hard ground, problems with pitching the tent, etc. If you have a bad back, but still enjoy camping, this may be your answer!

Stay Warm With Team Spirit

This weekend is the weekend some sports fans have been waiting for!  Superbowl Sunday! There will be many parties going on with so many yummy snacks! Perhaps you are tailgating at the actual game. If so, you will be warm in Texas!

However, maybe you are just snuggling up on your couch or hammock at home this year. One of the most useful hammock accessories that you will enjoy are the team spirit blankets! These are great for a cool day in the hammock or in the house to be cozy!

Today is Groundhog Day! The day where the famous groundhog in Punxsutawney comes out, and if he doesn’t see his shadow, we have an early spring! But, if he does, it will be six more weeks of winter! So, I hope he doesn’t see his shadow! I’m hoping for an early spring!

I am so anxious to get my hammock stand out and put my hammock in it! I love laying out in it in the early spring sun. Even if the air is a little chilly and I wear a sweatshirt, I still love the warm feeling of the sun on my face and the smells of spring! I love knowing I will spend many hours here over the next several months!

We have recently finished an addition to our house with a large great room. We painted the walls green because I liked the color. When it was finished, I asked my husband to bring in my hammock chair and stand to place in the corner. I enjoyed it so much this past summer, I couldn’t say goodbye for the winter!Since we didn’t have furniture picked out yet, he decided to bring in the arc hammock stand also! The hammock matched my walls perfectly!

It sure is a large piece, but the room is large. I have enjoyed it so much this fall and winter! My whole family has! My youngest slept in it one night for a special treat he had to earn because it was a “school night”! Another night we had an overnight teenager friend who was happy to sleep in the hammock! I have enjoyed reading in it and just relaxing. I am not sure if I want other furniture yet! Well, at least this winter, my arc hammock stand has a warm, and dry, home!
