A very unique way to use a hammock chair in the house is to hang a Cacoon hanging chair in your family room or den. First of all, it will get a lot of attention as a conversation piece!
But, truthfully, you will get the enjoyment of that hanging-out- on- a- cloud feeling. Put it in your room with the fireplace, and you won’t even mind that winter is still here! In fact, beware, you may even start to want winter to stick around a bit longer!
Another way to use hammocks in the house is to use a hammock for a bed. It’s an inexpensive and comfortable bed. A mayan hammock would do a nice job as a bed because it will cradle you like a cacoon, preventing you from rolling out of it while you are asleep.
With all of the different colors available in mayan hammocks, it is a fun way to add some color to your room. You could even change your “bed”, rather than your bedspread, with the seasons!
As we were talking about last week…different ways to use hammocks in the house, so we don’t miss several months of great relaxation! I found a great way to swing away the winter blues with this Brazilian hammock chair.
I made room for it in a tiny room that I call the library. It used to be a nursery until the children outgrew it. Then I added several bookcases and a chair. Because I could hang it from the ceiling from a long chain, I am able to hang it up in that tiny room when I want to use it. When I am not using it, it stands easily out of the way in the corner. A great idea I had this time!
I just discovered a large hanging tree hammock called a Cacoon! It comes in three sizes and several colors. It looks like a perfect cacoon inside it, hence, the name. It is actually fashioned after the nest of the Weaver bird, from the jungle.
I don’t call myself the Queen of Relaxation for nothing! I can do some serious relaxing in this hanging hammock chair! Next, I am going to plan…what size do I want, where I am putting it, and, oh, most importantly, what color do I want?
It’s time to start talking about some creative ideas for hammocks in the house, because winter is just wearing out its welcome. In using the word hammocks, I also mean hammock chairs. Let’s talk about a few creative ways to use these great relaxation pieces in our home, for our enjoyment, because, why should we only enjoy them in the warmer, outdoor weather?
The most obvious and easiest way is if you have a room big enough for a hammock stand, such as a family room, den, or a large bedroom. Find a hammock you like, and you’re set for wonderful relaxation spot! You could even move it outside when the weather warms up…or not!
I am looking forward to getting outside this spring in my Mayan hammock chair. The sun comes out, but it is still too cold! Then I remember…oh, it’s still winter!
I suppose before we know it, the winter will be over. But I miss that chair! I should find a place to hang it in the house, so that I can use it all year long. Then I could swing these winter blues away!
I walked into the house and I saw the coolest thing…a Cacoon hanging chair! It was hanging in the family room, and I thought “Wow! I’ve never seen anything quite like this”! I have already spent hours in it! I may move it to my bedroom, so I can “hang out” right before bedtime. This is the greatest Valentine’s gift I have ever received!
A mayan hammock is great for many reasons. It is easily portable, without a spreader bar, and that also makes it easier to put up and take down. Mayan hammocks are always available in so many beautiful, bright colors also.
Sometimes people are tempted by a cheap mayan hammock, however, a good quality hammock is what you want! A hammock that will withstand a little weather and hold you, and possibly a partner, safe and sound inside it!
Today is the day that we take to shower our mates with love and treat them extra special. Truly we should do that every day! I am planning a nice Valentine’s evening with my wife. I made a reservation at our favorite sushi restaurant. They know us there and treat us extra special…rose petals on the table and candlelight. I even bought my wife a bottle of her favorite wine.
We will enjoy our evening out alone, without the kids. But the part I think my wife truly enjoyed was when I took the boys out for a winter hike, giving her a few hours to lounge in her Brazilian hammock chair in the den, reading a book she has been trying to read for
It’s Valentine’s Day weekend! Wow! We get a whole weekend this year! I am sure this was a popular weekend to go somewhere, taking the whole weekend for a getaway. That sure sounds nice to me, well to be somewhere warm, that is! It is supposed to be in the single digits in my town.
That actually just makes me want to stay in and be cozy. It sounds like a fire in the fireplace, wonderful, yet simple dinner at home, and lots of movie watching kind of weekend. I will also enjoy a cuddle, with my favorite person, in my Brazilian hammock!
