To every thing there is a season. When your outdoor hammock season is over, it is best to store it unless you are bringing it in your home (see Hammocks in the Home Parts 1-5) best way to store your Mexican hammock, orĀ  any hammock without a spreader bar, when not in use or when finished with it for the season, is to hang it up by the end loops.

Hang both ends together on a hook or a nail, perhaps in your garage, or even the back of a closet would work fine. Keep the end loops away from the hammock to prevent tangles. First, be sure your hammock is dry. Then, store in a dry place to prevent mold. This will help preserve it for longer use and enjoyment.
