Storing Your Hammock

If you live in an area where you it is getting colder and you know that you are not going to be able to use your hammock outside anymore this year. You have three choices, really. One, let it out over the winter, which is not advisable if you want it to last. Two, bring it in your house ( see Hammocks in the Home Parts 1-5). Third, store it in a dry place to preserve it for many years.

One of the most useful hammock accessories is the hammock storage bag. This is for the hammocks with a spreader bar. First, be sure hammock is dry. Then brush it off to remove any debris, leaves, etc. Next, roll it up with the end strings on the inside until completely rolled up. Then, place in bag and store in a dry place in garage, shed, mudroom, or the back of a closet. When you get it out next spring, you will be glad you took the effort to take care of your favorite relaxation piece!
