It’s a spooky good day for a great Halloween! The little ones, and big ones too, love getting dressed up in their costumes and going “trick or treating”, or to a party! We like to carve the scariest and funniest pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns and sit them on the porch with a candle inside.
This year, one of my kids played a joke on me! They put a skeleton in the hammock chair stand on the front porch! It was perfect for Halloween, but I wasn’t expecting it, and it gave me a fright! Oh well, tis the season…and I love to hear the laughter of my boys!
I’ve been talking about the fall colors, as they can be used in hammocks and hammock chairs, to add functional, yet colorful accent pieces, to your home. The Outback Chair Company has a beautiful balance sphere with a striped pattern that is pretty in all of the seasons, but does complement well with fall decorations, also.
This modern, unique hammock chair is a great conversational piece! It can hang from a ceiling joist in a family room, bedroom, or any room, and would be a great place to spend a few hours reading in!
Yesterday, I mentioned the colorful travel hammock I use as a decoration and, also, a functional hammock swing. Another piece that coincides with the beautiful autumn colors is the orange KW Hammocks hammock swing. I hang this on my enclosed porch, then if the weather is a bit cool, I turn the portable heater on!
I also have some corn stalks, mums, and pumpkins out there also. It all blends in with the Halloween and fall theme. I keep it this way until after Thanksgiving, then it’s time to start decorating for Christmas! I love these simple pieces that are functional to use, but also serve as seasonal decorations! Who would’ve thought of a hammock or a hammock chair as as a seasonal decoration?!
Fall is such a beautiful season! The best part for me is the vivid colors of the leaves turning. The reds, yellows, and orange colors are incredible! I wish they would last longer, though!
I love decorating my home with these colors, with accent pieces, here and there, at this time of year. One piece I like to get out every year, is the Bliss Hammocks travel hammock called pumpkin pie. I hang it in the corner of my family room for a hammock chair. It looks beautiful and is so comfortable!
The arc hammock stand is a large, regal piece. It is perfect for a large backyard, adorned with a beautiful hammock.
It can be a focal point in your yard. You could even use this area to plant a small, ornamental tree beside it. You can watch the tree grow over the years, and someday, it will provide you nice, cool shade!
If you live in an area of the country that is experiencing fall, and soon, winter, you may benefit from one of the most useful hammock accessories to cover your hammock stand with. This cover fits over the arc hammock stand and smaller stands.
It protects it from the elements to prolong the life of your favorite relaxation “haven”. This will allow you to enjoy it for many years to come!
I had a wonderful bike ride today. I rode 40 miles with one of my biking buddies. The weather was just perfect! It was chilly this morning, so we had to pedal to warm up. But, later in the morning it was a warmer, fall day with brilliant sunshine!
When I got home, I had to rest in my hammock swing under the trees. It is a wonderful form of therapy, whether it is stress release or just a home to tired legs! I just stretched out and relived the beautiful day I am so thankful for!
No, that is not a weird food dish to make for a tailgating party! That is a very unique name for a brand of hammock and hammock chair products. A great Green Eggs and Hammocks piece to use at a tailgate party is the trailer hitch stand.
I hang the Contour hammock chairs on mine for the wife and I, and we are ready to have a party in style! It always attracts people that are walking by. They stop and ask us about our stand and chairs and it is a fun conversation piece and a way to meet new people.
Many of us, including myself, find ourselves at this time of year, well into autumn now. The temperatures are brisk, and there was even a frost warning this morning! Yikes! This is also the time of year that I wish I lived in a warmer part of the country!
For those of who enjoy hammocks too much to give them up until next spring, there are ways around this. A Mayan hammock makes a great indoor hammock. It is easily hung from a ceiling or a wall in a family room or bedroom. It can even be an extra bed for an overnight guest! It takes less room than a large hammock stand does, and if space is an issue, hang it higher on the ends to accommodate a smaller space. You will love it if you try it!
In Brazil, many people still sleep in their hammocks outside. They appreciate the tightly woven style of a Brazilian hammock. They also love that they are handcrafted, right in Brazil, of beautiful colors.
Some people even lie sideways for more back support. They are large enough to wrap around themselves and stay cozy at night. They are cool in the heat and warmer in the cooler temperatures.
