I am so happy that the Internet’s Black Friday has become Cyber Monday! I’m also happy to see that, not only do we internet shoppers get to enjoy our shopping day, but many websites also celebrated Black Friday right through Cyber Monday!
I was comfortable and cozy, in my own home, shopping from my hammock chair! No crowds, waiting in lines, running from store to store, or getting up before dawn. I saved time, energy, and gas money by shopping online. I went from one store to another with the click of my mouse, and even got free shipping on some of my purchases! How perfect is that?
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Today is the day we set aside as a day to be thankful for our blessings and spend time with our families. Tradition, dating back to the Pilgrims and the Indians, causes us to associate a big feast with today, as they did. Well, I say they caused a lot of work for the rest of us to come! Really, just kidding, but I think giving thanks and spending special family time should be a part of daily life.
The more thanks we give, the more we have to be thankful for. I am thankful, every single day, for my family, most of all, then friends, and my home. I am thankful that my home is a peaceful haven where I can be relaxed and safe. Speaking of relaxing, that will be done in a beautiful Mexican hammock, later today, after I feel like a stuffed turkey!
Today is my birthday! Even though I am all grown up, I still like to make my birthday special. I assume it is from the way I was raised, by loving parents, who made me feel special. I am so grateful for that! I am also thankful it is unseasonably warm today, and sunny too!
I am going to have a simple, yet relaxing day..lunch with friends, dinner with my family, at home here. Just a cozy, simple dinner with my loved ones. I am also planning some relaxation in my hammock chair, outside, while I can still enjoy the beautiful day!
What an important day it is! Today is the day we get to choose our next president. In my perfect little world, there we would not be two parties. There would just be two people who ran for president.
They would truly love our country, not themselves, and it wouldn’t even be a terribly hard job because there would be few issues. Everyone would work and pull their own weight, Oh, and every American household would have a hammock or hammock chair because we would have time to relax!
As the days turn colder for may, we start to look inside our homes for ways to make our inside living space cozier for the months ahead. These months include longer time indoors, as well as longer evenings.
One way I combat this time is I try to make several spots in my home that I consider my “safe haven”. This is the place I can go to get away from everything and the stress of everyday life, at times. I love the way the Urban Balance Cove from the Outback Chair Company looks inside the home. This modern hammock chair gives me a nice spot to relax!
