He is risen! Praise God! I am thankful for my life He has given to me! I attended sunrise service this morning. It is such a spiritual time for me. It was a bit chilly too, but the sun did peek out for us!
I am thankful for this day to spend with my family. We are going to my sister’s house, who I rarely see, even though we live close. That is a little sad, but life isn’t perfect, and we love each other. In fact, I love her so much I gave her a Brazilian hammock last year!
I feel like it blows right through me some days! Today, we are taking the trailer hitch stand to the lake. We will sit in our hammock chairs, but will be blowing around in the wind! Oh, well, the sun is shining, so I need to look at the positive side and enjoy the milder temperature!
Often, this day, I find to be dreary and dismal, but today is beautiful! So is my mood! I am going to enjoy some outdoor time, running or biking, then I will definitely spend a little time in my hammock chair!
I sure hope all the snow is gone by this weekend. We just may get our travel hammocks out and have a little hike Easter afternoon, weather permitting.
It will help to work off the big Easter dinner we have planned. We don’t really need a hammock for a short trip, yet it just makes it more fun. Then we know we can relax anywhere, up off the damp ground!
My boys are getting older, so we don’t have an Easter egg hunt anymore, and we haven’t painted eggs the last two years, although I enjoy that as an adult. So, we just might do that later in the week? It is different when they aren’t little anymore.
Yet, I enjoy them in a different way. For instance, my oldest teenager volunteered at the church to help with the egg hunt for the little ones, and that makes me proud. They still love candy, though! So, they are getting candy and a new nylon hammock for their outdoor activities this year.
I prematurely hung one of my rope hammocks in the tree, and now it’s covered with snow! I am glad the hammock stand is still safe under cover!
Monday mornings are nice when I am off work, the family is gone to work and school, and I have the house to myself, and the whole day before me. I like to call Monday my “domestics day”. It has become a habit.
I change all the sheets, dust, vacuum, clean the bathrooms and the kitchen. Meanwhile, I make dinner, usually in the crock pot so I can do it in the morning. This afternoon, I need to make time for a nice long run on the trail. Then, after all that, and I have had my hot shower, I need some relaxation time in my OBX Hammocks rope hammock on the patio!
We are having a family picnic today. We are going to the lake and going to cook on the grill. Grilling is one of my favorite things to do in warm weather. I always want to keep up with it in the winter, but it just never happens.
That is why I am excited, steaks on the grill, and grilled veggies! We will sit out in our own special butterfly chair, and look at the lake, and talk, and just enjoy the moment!
Kids can be so lazy nowadays, not like when I was a boy, I was outside constantly. We are taking our backpacking hammocks along, as these kids are going need a break this afternoon!
It has been such a fun weekend with dear friend. I am so grateful for the time we got to share together in this fun city. We sure did a lot, walking, shopping, sightseeing, and eating! Oh, my goodness! I need a good run tomorrow!
I will run my heart out, then come home and relax in my Bliss Hammocks hammock chair, while reminiscing about all the fun and the laughs we had! Thank God for my dear friend that makes me laugh!
