Too bad we don’t have the recliner seats at our local theater. They are (almost) as comfortable as a mayan hammock chair! I could shut my eyes and go to sleep if it was too scarey!
Today, I am going for a solo hike at my favorite local park. Everyone in the family is involved in other activities today that don’t include me. Not much of a family day, but it happens at times, so, I just decided that some solitude might be nice.
It’s a bit chilly today, so I might not be stopping for too long. But I’m going to bring along one of my portable hammocks in my backpack, just in case!
It is very cold here outside, with no hope for a hang in a hammock out in the backyard for quite a while. I miss my quilted hammock in my family room!
That was BF, before furniture, haha! That hammock stand took up a lot of room and made that big empty room a bit cozier! Now, it is full of furniture and I miss my hammock!
If you give them a hammock stand set, it makes it so easy for them! No need to find trees or posts to hook to. The only decision is where to put it to enjoy it the most!
A nice double hammock, built for two, is a perfect gift to say “I love you” and I spend time with you! In fact, I want to be very close to you!
Today was a good test for my hammock straps, and I am happy to say that they passed the test! That hammock was whipping around, but it stayed right between the two trees it was strapped to!
Hello from the warm and sunny peninsula of Key West! I am a new blogger on The Hammock Gazette. They needed a warm and sunny perspective this winter. What can I say? I live in a sunny, warm, beautiful place, but please don’t hate me for it!
I love my hammocks and my hammock chairs, so it will be easy and fun to blog about them! In fact, I am lounging in my Mayan Hammock now as we speak. Life is good! For those who are freezing, I say, take a trip to the keys!
Now, I just feel almost thankful for this wet, dreary day because it is only rain! It is definitely too wet to go out and play, but I am warm and dry in one of my portable hammocks set up in my house. I am finally going to read And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, an old, yet timeless classic!
Today is not only just a day off work for many people, but it is a day to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and an activist who was a leader in the Civil Rights Movement. This man is best known for the role he played in the advancement of civil rights. He encouraged nonviolent civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs.
I am laying in my travel hammock right now reading about this wonderful man! I wish that people today would follow his nonviolent examples to protest. I am touched by his many famous quotes but this one is my favorite:
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
